The basics
What is Zyrrah?
Zyrrah is a psychological wellbeing app that uses 10-minute weekly, science-based experiences to measurably improve how you feel. It's built on 20+ years of research by Australian Registered Psychologist Sue Jauncey. Not a meditation app. Not a journalling prompt. The actual science of joy.
Who created Zyrrah?
Sue Jauncey, an Australian Registered Psychologist and founder of Appellon, the organisational psych-tech methodology featured in Forbes and used by the Royal Australian Navy, the UK NHS, schools, sports teams, and workplaces worldwide. Over ten years, her methodology transformed how more than 10,000 people feel. Zyrrah brings that same science to everyone.
What does "Zyrrah" mean?
Zyrrah is our name for the spark: the idea that happiness isn't something you wait for, it's something you ignite. Everything in the app is built around that. Small sparks, practised weekly, that add up to real change.
Is Zyrrah a meditation app?
No. Zyrrah isn't meditation or journalling. It's applied psychology: short, personalised experiences that activate the brain chemistry of happiness.
Who owns Zyrrah?
Zyrrah is operated by Pulse Australasia Pty Ltd (ACN 154 929 450), the Australian company behind Appellon. Zyrrah is the personal app; Appellon is the organisational platform.
The science
Does Zyrrah actually work?
Zyrrah is built on a methodology developed and refined over 20+ years and applied across more than 10,000 people in real workplaces and organisations. Inside the app, your Happiness Score lets you track your own progress, because happiness isn't just a feeling, it's a measurement.
How can 10 minutes a week make a difference?
Because it's not about duration, it's about precision. Each 10-minute moment is an evidence-based experience designed to activate specific brain chemistry. Small, consistent practice rewires how you think and feel, the same way short, regular training builds physical fitness.
What is the Happiness Score?
Your personal measure of progress. As you complete your weekly moments and Sparks, Zyrrah tracks measurable change in how you feel, so you can see yourself grow over time.
What are Sparks?
Small acts you collect, share, and spread. Each Spark is designed to shift your brain chemistry, and because happiness spreads through up to three degrees of social connection, every Spark you share lifts the people around you too.
Is happiness really contagious?
Research on social networks shows that happiness spreads through up to three degrees of connection: when you get happier, your friends get happier, and their friends get happier. That's why Zyrrah is built for sharing. Working on your own happiness lifts the whole room.
